Books are keys to wisdoms Treasure.
In 1989 I started my journey with books, after obtaining my Bachelors degree in Literature in 1987 it was only natural that I became a bookseller, following my lifelong interest in Ancient Egypt and Ancient History. For many years I had found it very hard to buy the books I wanted on this subject in Australia and I discovered a market here for books on this subject.
Having always been a keen collector of antiquarian books by the turn of the century I started exclusively buying antiquarian books on my favourite subject. In 2009 I was excited to join ANZAAB, and I started to obtain very rare books and in 2012 I attended my first ANZAAB rare book fair.
Of course there is alway more to learn and with my mentor Kay Craddock AO I was schooled in some of the finer points of selling rare books. I have also enjoyed very much attending ILAB congresses and bookfairs around the world and hopefully with the help of my daughter Laura Jaeger we shall soon have our own booths at some overseas fairs. Laura became interested in rare books during the covid epidemic and she has brought her own expertise in Theosophy and Philosophy into the business. We also have expanded into Latin and Ancient Greek more recently
I have had a very interesting life acquiring and selling rare books, it is always interesting and exciting, Laura and I are always happy bringing fine and rare books to our lovely customers.
