Books are keys to wisdoms Treasure.
Started in bookselling in 1989 when I purchased a book exchange in Oakleigh in Melbourne, which I sold four years later to concentrate on new books on Ancient History, selling mostly to educational institutions.
With the arrival of Amazon in 2000 and other online sellers I found that new books were either not being published on my chosen subject or Amazon was selling them cheaper than I could buy them. Many new bookshops went out of business back then.
However right through my career I have been a keen collector of antiquarian books and around 2000 I started buying antiquarian for several customers.
This business grew and in 2009 I joined ANZAAB, the new book business died out and I became more and more interested in rare books. This has lead me to a very interesting life acquiring and selling rare books on various subjects although my favourite subject is Ancient Egypt.
In 2020 my daughter Laura came into the business with me at aged 20 and we are both enjoying bringing fine and rare books to our lovely customers.
